A self-paced digital course

  • 6 modules of beautiful, organized content. Including:

  • Module 1: Welcome, What Makes a Great Airbnb, Your Hosting Mindset and Values. Let’s get you in the right mindset to succeed!

  • Module 2: Elevate Your Space. We can’t jump to marketing and branding unless you have a space that reflects what your guests want. This module includes lessons about design, furniture, style, amenities, and how to prioritize and budget.

  • Module 3: Elevate Your Listing. I focus on how to make your listing standout online, from naming your home to pricing with confidence, and understanding the Airbnb algorithm. This module is what the best short-term-rentals get right.

  • Module 4: Elevate Your Hosting. This is where I dig much deeper than most Airbnb courses - we will look at managing guests, communication best practices, and troubleshooting problems. This includes lessons on inclusion and bias in hosting, as well as hiring and managing a cleaning team.

  • Module 5: Elevate Your Marketing. Now that you’ve done the work to upgrade and fine tune your hosting, you’re ready to market your space. This includes an entire lesson dedicated to interior photography. Then I’ll teach you how to brand, polish and market your listing to your ideal guest and grow an Instagram community.

  • Bonus lessons include: Long-Distance Hosting, Budgeting for Decor with guest teacher Valerie from @QuillDecor and Setting Financial Goals.

  • A practical workbook to complete exercises and make decisions about your space and hosting as you go through the course.

“Not only does she share 10+ years of hosting experience so freely but gives you a place to start and the tools to CONTINUE your growth as a host.

This course is really for those that want to create the most iconic property while holding onto those original Airbnb values of opening our home to strangers, connection, and kindness."

Who this course is for:

Before I tell you about this game-changing program, let’s clarify who this program is for: short-term rental hosts. You’re a great host who wants to upgrade your space, streamline your hosting, and attract the best guests. If you’re about to launch a rental, this course is for you as well. If you’re interested in being a caring, kind host who puts your guests and their safety first, then this course is for you. I work with hosts who believe that black lives matter, that we should support small businesses, that people are good, that compassion and respect are part of hosting, and who want to be active in their communities. Hosting is WORK. It should be. If you want to take all of the work out of hosting and automate everything, this course is not for you. That said, I’ll make hosting easier for you by giving you the processes and templates and methods I have used for 10+ years to make hosting joyful, profitable, and rewarding.

So, if you’re tired of wondering how to take your listing to the next level and you’re ready to build a hosting business that can delight more guests, make more money, and give you more freedom, then this course is for you.

Here’s what you’ll get…

  • Gain the accountability you need to upgrade your space (checklists are my love language)

  • Step into a supportive environment while making small changes so your rental will shine (you’ll get a group of other hosts cheering you on and sharing ideas)

  • Speak to your dream guests by learning how to build the bridge between their interests and your content (by creating a unique brand, style, and clarifying your Instagram why)

  • Make a concrete plan for real changes to your Airbnb (you’ll have no more excuses to finally do those upgrades, photograph them, and then charge a higher nightly rate )

Frequently asked questions

How long will the course take to complete?
This course has videos, a workbook, handouts, and work for you to do throughout. If you want to elevate your Airbnb you’ll need to set aside at least 1-2 hours per week to complete it. If you dive fully into it and complete 1-2 video lessons per day, it will take you about 1-2 weeks, depending how much time you spend on workbook exercises, checklists, and templates. You’ll have access to the video course content for six months. You’ll always have access to the workbook, the checklists, templates, the community of hosts and my support.

What if I manage my rental remotely?
This course is definitely for you. I specifically address ways that you can elevate your hosting practices even from a distance, and I dedicate a lesson to long-distance hosting best practices, created with input from expert long-distance hosts.

Is this course worth it?
Yes, it’s an investment of your time and money, but you’ll be saving both later by avoiding design mistakes, not making expensive furniture purchases that you don’t need to make, and I’ll teach you to design your own space, take your own photos, and where to splurge versus save on upgrades. I’ll be giving you the tools and templates to save you hours of hosting headaches. After taking this course, you’ll be more confident in your nightly pricing. Plus, did you know that this whole course can be a business expense? You’ll be able to add it directly into the Airbnb expense tracker I have for you. I recommend that hosts invest time and money back into your rental every year on upkeep, and learning and investing in yourself as a host is part of that.

What if I host on VRBO, not Airbnb?
Regardless of which site platform you use, if you are hosting a rental and want to upgrade its style, elevate your hosting and marketing, then this course is a great fit. I cover design, hosting practices, cleaning, budgeting, branding, photography, and more. There are two Airbnb-specific lessons (two out of 24 total brief video lessons) focused on the Airbnb algorithm and maintaining Superhost, so these are only relevant to Airbnb hosts. But you can skip those two lessons and the rest of the course is full of wisdom and applicable exercises to help you upgrade and charge higher nightly rates, regardless of which site you’re on.

What will this course NOT cover?
I do not discuss property acquisition, mortgages, bank loans, insurance, or complying with local regulations. I assume that you already have a space that you are hosting or will be hosting in soon. I also do not cover working with influencers, hosting commercial photoshoots, or brand partnerships.

What if I’m not hosting yet?
If you plan to start a short-term rental soon, this course is perfect for you. I ask existing hosts to take a step back and revisit some of their initial decisions: furniture, style, amenities, hiring a cleaning person. So, if you’re getting started, you’ll be able to approach your space with a clean slate and I’ll walk you through, step-by-step, how to design, furnish, and style a space for your guests. I also walk you through how to name your home, create an online listing, and photograph your space, so all of these pieces are super helpful to those just getting started with hosting.

Why Now?

Airbnb-TravelTrends2021-Live-Anywhere.jpg

Airbnb travel is way up in 2023!

What does that mean for hosts?

“Airbnb data shows that travel is the activity Americans have missed the most during the pandemic and a majority are ready to travel. First trips post-pandemic will be to connect with loved ones, taking travel back to its roots of creating meaningful memories.” - Airbnb

If you take the time to invest and upgrade your space and hosting, you can charge higher nightly rates for your area. Now is the time to invest in your business as a host and to experiment with pricing.
